On Friday, the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame celebrates the genius of American jazz double bassist, cellist and composer Oscar Pettiford. Members of the Richie Pardo Quintet will perform alongside jazz great David Amram, an accomplished American composer, musician, conductor and writer. Not only is Amram a living jazz luminary, he was also a close friend and musical consort of the late Oscar Pettiford.
The concert will also feature Heath Brothers accompanist Jeb Patton, as well as Bill Crosby, Jordan Hehl, David Moore, Ryan Tedder, and our special guest — Grammy nominee Eldar Djangirov. Don’t miss this outstanding tribute to a real jazz innovator! Showtime 7:00PM.
